Journeys

Branching journeys of text and images that you write, publish, and share.

The canvas: open a step from the map, drag a choice onto empty space to make the step it leads to, and turn the whole journey the other way round.

Authors build a journey as a graph of steps and choices: each step is one screen holding text and images, and each choice leads to another step until the path reaches an ending. Publishing takes an immutable snapshot of the draft, and participants walk it from a link — no account, no sign-up.

Journeys began as three interactive cases for healthcare education. Read the story.

What it does

  • Publish immutable versions

Publishing snapshots the draft. Participants walk the version you published while you keep editing, and any earlier version can be restored.

  • Anonymous runs, no account

A participant opens a link, reads a step, makes a choice, and lives with it. No sign-up, no tracking of who they are.

  • Analytics on the graph

See where participants went, drawn onto the same map you authored: which choices they took and which endings they reached.

  • Prompts, read by the members

A step can ask an open question before its choices. Every answer is kept with the run, for the project's members to read.

  • Themes

Give each journey its own look for participants: a palette preset and an accent colour, set for the project and overridable per journey.

  • Rich text with images and credits

Steps carry headings, lists, quotes, and images with captions and credits, edited in place on the canvas.
